Tattoos have been growing in popularity in the last several decades.
When I talk about tattoos with people from my parent’s generation and older, they rarely have nice things to say about them. However, much of the stigma surrounding body art is slowly fading away as more people embrace the medium for self expression, to commemorate an occasion or just fill the empty void on their skin. These portraits were taken for the Hawaii-based magazine, Island Scene.
