The Pacific Northwest is quite a contrast to the tropics of Hawaii, where I moved from. While the summers are the best I’ve ever had, the winters take on a whole new mood when the leaves begin to turn. While the cold and rainy winters may be a turn off to many, I appreciate the deep, contemplative atmosphere as it is–beautiful.
